May

  • Hotchkiss Sheep Dog Trials Mother's Day Weekend May 12-13, 2023 www.hotchkissdogtrials.com Hotchkiss Avenue and 2nd Street, Hotchkiss.
     
  • Ute Trails Car Show - Hotchkiss - usually the same weekend as the Hotchkiss Sheep Dog Trials.  Zack's field next to and behind Zack's BBQ Restaurant.

  • Paonia North Fork Community Fair: 2023 is not yet scheduled but was held Saturday June 18, in 2022 thelearningcouncil.org/north-fork-community-fair
     
  • North Fork Recreation District opens the North Fork Pool on Memorial Day, May 29th, 2023 located next to the North Fork High School at 333 miners Way, Hotchkiss. Visitors Welcome!  Swimming Lessons, Lap Swim, Water Slide, Water Aerobics, Picnics
     
  • Crawford Farmers' Market starts in mid-May across from the Crawford Post Office, Friday 8am to 2pm, Saturday 2pm to 6pm.
     
  • Paonia Farmers' Market (ARBOL) runs from May through October at the Paonia Town Park, Tuesdays, 5pm to 8pm ARBOL Farmers' Market thelearningcouncil.org/arbol-farmers-market by The Learning Council  From The Learning Council Website: "The 2023 ARBOL Farmers Market will begin in Paonia Town Park on May 16th and run for 23 weeks until October 17th. This weekly outdoor Tuesday evening market is open from 5pm to 8pm.   • Wineries Open typically at the end of May.  From the West Elks AVA site:  "Wineries are normally open from the end of May through the end of October. It’s always best to call before visiting (unless there’s a big event occurring)."​

  • Colorado Grand Charity Vintage Auto Tour Monday, September 11th – Saturday, September 16th, 2023.  co1000.com.  The Colorado Grand  graciously gives $10,000 scholarships annually to North Fork students.  Colorado Grand is a major benefactor to the North Fork Valley. 
     
  • Mountain Harvest Festival, 2023 not yet scheduled but was held September 23-25 in 2022.  See mountainharvestfestival.org and northforkcreative.org

October

  • Cider Fest Paonia at Big B's Delicious Orchard bigbs.com 2023 not yet scheduled but was held Friday October 28 to Sunday October 30 in 2022. Cider Tasting and Classes, Music, Orchard BBQ, Arts & Crafts Bazaar, Kids Halloween games supporting local non-profits, on-site camping, and more.

November

  • Hotchkiss Three Venue Holiday Arts and Craft Show typically held the weekend after Thanksgiving.
  • Crawford Festival of Lights, 2023 not yet scheduled but is typically held the Friday after Thanksgiving so will likely be Friday November 24, 2023. Town of Crawford townofcrawford.colorado.gov/parade-lights

  • North Fork Community Dinners - A Holiday Tradition - Hotchkiss Free Thanksgiving Dinner at the Hotchkiss Town Hall November 23, 2023.  Contact Larry Jakubiak. Volunteers and Donors needed to keep the spirit of community giving!
