It doesn’t get much more wholesome than a good country fair and the Delta County Fair and Rodeo is about as traditionally American as they come.

It’s a place where the kids can run around together, play games and eat fair food while the folks enjoy the many exhibits while visiting with friends old and new.

Always the second week of August at the County Fairgrounds in Hotchkiss --- go to the Delta County Fair Website for info.

The meat and potatoes of any good fair are the many livestock exhibits and the arts, crafts, and canned and fresh produce displays.

Since Delta County is known far and wide for its produce and livestock, there is plenty to behold.

In addition, you will want to take in the scheduled events most evenings:
Demolition derby.
Tractor and truck pulls.
Ranch rodeo.
CPRA Rodeo.
Team roping.
Junior Rodeo.

Stop by the fairgrounds in downtown Hotchkiss when you are in town during the fair.
