Melanie Hoshiko
Melanie Hoshiko is a Colorado-based artist, educator, and advocate for mental health and high-risk youth. A valedictorian graduate of Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, her solo work was recognized as "Best of Denver" and exhibited at prestigious venues, including The Arvada Center and more.Driven by a commitment to youth support, Melanie paused her full-time art career to serve as a Youth Treatment Counselor. She later joined the leadership team at St. Vrain Valley School District's Main Street School, where she specialized in aiding youth facing physical, mental, and high-risk behavioral challenges. After moving to the West Slope, she continued her work in education at Delta County’s alternative High School, the Grand Mesa Choice Academy, as Administrative Assistant.
In recent years, she successfully transitioned to professional photography before returning to her studio practice. Melanie currently serves as the Gallery and Educational Coordinator for The Creamery Arts Center, where she is passionate about growing the creative community and businesses of the North Fork Valley.
